How Your Blood Test Works
Ensure the sample is sent on the same day as your blood draw.
Please avoid sending samples to the lab over the weekend.
Make sure all your sample tubes are signed and dated as per the attached instruction leaflet.
Each sample tube should be filled to at least three-quarters full.
Responsibilities
The phlebotomist’s role is limited to performing the blood draw. It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that all sample tubes and accompanying documentation are completed correctly, signed, and dated before posting the sample to the laboratory.
Your Blood cannot accept responsibility for delays, test failures, or additional costs resulting from samples that are unsigned, incomplete, or completed incorrectly.
Booking Instructions
Below is a simple step-by-step guide to help you through the process.
1. Choose the blood test that best suits your needs.
If you're unsure which test is right for you, our live chat and contact page are available to help.
2. Select your preferred blood collection method.
Once you select the blood test you would like, you will be presented with two options before adding it to your cart:
- Blood taken by a professional in a clinic
- Arrange your own blood collection
If you choose the Blood taken by a professional in a clinic option, a pop-up will display all available clinics near you.
3. Complete your purchase.
After completing your order, you will receive two emails:
- Confirmation of your purchase.
- A booking link to schedule your appointment at your chosen clinic (this email may take up to 5–10 minutes to arrive).
4. Book your appointment.
Book your appointment at a time that suits you.
For more information, please refer to the Pre-Appointment Information section located at the bottom of our website.
5. Once your appointment has been booked.
For appointments at our Trowbridge clinic, we'll have everything ready for you—simply arrive at your appointment.
For all other clinics, we will send you a complete blood collection kit via Royal Mail Tracked 24. You will also receive a tracking number so you can follow your delivery.
6. Appointment changes and cancellations.
You can reschedule your appointment free of charge, provided you give us at least 24 working hours' notice.
Unfortunately, appointment changes or cancellations requested within 24 working hours cannot be accommodated, as the appointment has already been paid for. If you still require a blood draw, a new phlebotomy appointment must be purchased.
7. If you choose to arrange your own blood collection.
We will send you a complete blood collection kit, including prepaid return packaging, so you can send your sample to one of our partner laboratories.
Please ensure your sample is posted on the same day as your blood draw to help maintain sample quality.
8. Receive your results and book an expert consultation.
Once your results are ready (usually within 6–8 working days), they will be sent to you by email.
This is what makes Your Blood different. We don't just provide a generic laboratory report—you also have the option to book an expert consultation to help you understand your results and receive personalised guidance on improving your health.
Expert consultations are available for an additional fee.
We're here to support you every step of the way.
Thank you for choosing Your Blood.
